How much money does a botox nurse make or hourly for RN cosmetic nurses What are the different ways to compensate RN cosmetic specialist. Which ever is higher is the pay for those 2 weeks. Please if you would share with me other pay structures that are working for you, or have not worked. Seriously needing some imput on this subject as I am re evaluating my compensation for the next year. Any help or advise would be appreciated! Thank You. This is fair to both parties and allows you to remain in business with some profit. Paying a commission for the RN just to perform the injection is not a good idea for the clinic. The clinic has to make a profit before any commissions are paid. You have to look a the revenue on a weekly and or monthly volume basis and determine a commission or bonus structure that is a win win for the clinic and employee s. You have to base any bonus or commission structure on clinic revenue, that way the employees will cross sale to keep the other treatment rooms busy.

Common procedures these nurses carryout include dermal filler and neurotoxin injections, laser hair removals and non-invasive body contouring. They may see patients independently; although, treating patients will likely be done under the supervision of a medical doctor. Cosmetic nurses commonly work at outpatient surgical centers and medical spas, and may work part-time or full-time hours. Cosmetic nurse positions typically require that candidates have a registered nurse RN or nurse practitioner NP license, which constitutes having at least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN. A master’s degree is the minimum education needed to work as a nurse practitioner. However, this job does not require having an advanced nursing degree since the RN or NP requirement is interchangeable. The next step for prospective cosmetic nurses is to obtain an RN license. Some licensing requirements for registered nurses may vary by state. Those who wish to pursue optional licensing as an advance practice registered nurse APRN must already posses an RN license and will need to pass an additional exam. Once licensed, individuals can find employment at plastic surgery and medial spa centers as an assistant to a cosmetic nurse. Since cosmetic nurses typically need at least two years of experience to practice, newly-licensed nurses may benefit from job shadowing opportunities.
