Also if mch made poker dollars in a country where you’re not required to pay tax on those winnings I think it is quite interesting to ‘gross up’ the figure to get a comparative number to others who work ‘normal’ jobs.
Great point muh the taxes. I actually added it to the article : I also added that I used «average incomes» when comparing to various countries in this post. Average incomes are always skewed upwards heavily by the ultra rich. It would be a lot different story if I used median incomes instead. With these two points in mind and also the lack of commute time poker actually does pretty damn well versus a regular job if you have the talent of someone like.

Hi Seb, My sample size is over 2 million hands. Is that enough? I published all these results right here You can see that my winrate at NL2 is Now yes these hands were mostly played about 5 years ago when the games were quite a bit easier.
However, all of these hands were also played while playing 24 tables at. I am very confident that if I was mlney to play 4 or even 8 tables in today’s games that I could achieve these same results.

I would literally just 24 table these games in my sleep while watching movies or listening to podcasts. The variance how much money can a professional poker player make also basically non-existent with a winrate this high. I certainly don’t advise anyone to play 2 million hands at pkoer stakes haha, but those are some reasons why I did it. Although the sample size was minimal, I was playing profeesional the worst times juch not table selecting at all.
So I do believe it is sustainable. I have played more hands than probably anyone in history at these limits so my winrates are well beyond what would be considered «normal. In Greece playing 0. We usually ask people to take us through a typical day at work. Do you play every day? If so, do you prepare? Can you take us through an average game-day? One of the most appealing aspects of being a professional poker player is the freedom it allows me. This freedom generally means that there is no typical day as a poker player: one day I might spend my time playing a tournament at the World Series of Poker — this means I must be there at a certain time usually noon and am subject to the schedule of the tournament for as long as I survive in the tournament generally two hours of play followed by 15 minute breaks repeated throughout the day for a total of 10 hours of play.

The next day I might opt to play a cash game where I can show up and leave as I please — if I am having a poor day or just not in the mood to play, I can leave within an hour of sitting down; conversely, if I feel in the zone I can stay as long as I want. This is hard to say, both because of the inherent variance in poker and the constantly changing landscape of poker.
